I love painting New Mexico landscapes just because of beautiful scenes like this one. Painted for “Let’s Paint New Mexico 2018” Challenge 3 I enjoy painting challenges in this group of artists. We are each given a photograph and paint our own rendition of the same scene, none are “judged” though some are definitely challenges finding the beauty of common or average New Mexico themes. Usually water does not challenge me though for some reason with this painting it did, I think I repainted the water three times. This is on gallery 1 3/4” profile gallery wrapped canvas, with the scene wrapping around on each side, wired and ready to display on any wall.
